Raising Kids Isn’t Fun Or Profitable

JACKSON, Miss. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you want to have lots of money and fun, don’t have kids.

That’s according to Jill Conner Browne, who’s written The Sweet Potato Queens’ Guide to Raising Children for Fun and Profit (Simon & Schuster), and has learned through her own child rearing experiences that kids are not really fun or profitable.

In fact, Browne claims there’s nothing more shocking than the moment you find out you’re pregnant, and says, “How do you sit down and plan to change every aspect of your life?”

But for Browne, pregnancy is a cinch compared to raising a teenager.

She says, “Teenagers aren’t fun at all. In fact, they’re supposed to drive their parents nuts. At that point, all you can do is keep telling yourself, ‘She’ll be a great adult.’ That, and take drugs.”

The Sweet Potato Queens’ Guide is now on shelves.
