Post Mortem Jewelry Makes For Deathly Cool Christmas Gifts

LONG ISLAND, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Finally, Christmas shopping for the goth in your life just got a little less hairy.

Teardropmemories.com is a website that boasts macabre items like Victorian coffins and photos of the dead, but this year, the items on everyone’s Christmas list are mourning attire like hair wreaths and brooches.

Site owner Greg Cristiano says the hair wreaths – which are made from a dead loved one’s hair and intricately braided into a crown for the grieving family – are worn because “everyone loves something with a history or a past to it.”

If the hairy hair ornament is too much to handle, Cristiano recommends buying a brooch with a picture of the deceased in the center, which “has a lot of sentimental value, and can’t be picked out of a Saks Fifth Avenue catalog.”
