Toss The Pigskin – Not Your Cookies – This Turkey Day

McKinney, Texas (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – After the Thanksgiving turkey settles in your stomach, there are two ways to tackle your pigskin passion.

David Dorey is the author of Fantasy Football The Next Level: How To Build a Championship Team Every Season (Grand Central Publishing), and he’s got some pigskin pointers for football fans who aren’t content with just slouching in front of the tube.

Dorey says, “Thanksgiving’s a great time to play football. I always prefer regular football over fantasy. But let the meal digest first. And use reason when it comes to family – I’d always play two-hand-touch.”

And after the family-friendly gridiron game, Dorey says the Thanksgiving TV schedule is much less hectic.

He says, “On Sunday, it’s hard to watch every game, but on Thanksgiving, I get to see one game at a time. It’s pretty relaxing.”

And while most families bicker over the bird, Dorey’s family is united over some historical hometown pride.

He says, “Everyone in my family is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. Thanksgiving revolves around the Dallas game.”
