‘Amazing Race’ Puts Cast-Offs’ Bickering At Bay

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Not even God could help one team of reality show racers stay on the road.

Kate Lewis and Pat Hendrickson are the latest team to get the boot from The Amazing Race, but the married lesbian ministers say the loss has helped them stop some of their common catfights.

Lewis says, “We compete in everything, from who’s going to write a better sermon to who’s going to take out the garbage first! This was kind of surprising, we thought we were going to fight a whole lot more.”

And Hendrickson – who recalls a time the couple didn’t speak for a week after playing in a bocce tournament together – adds, “For some reason, this race was magical – it actually brought us closer. Losing together always cements a relationship.”

But don’t blame their age or their holy habits for the devoted duo’s loss.

Hendrickson says, “We played with respect, and we couldn’t have been nicer – but we were fierce, and we weren’t afraid to elbow someone out of the way!”

The Amazing Race airs Sundays on CBS.
