Vampire Poet Says No To Nasty Humans

WESTMINSTER, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A band of bloodsuckers are bringing hair-raising rhymes to folks in Costa Mesa, California.

The 10th Annual Trick or Treat Festival is creeping into the Southern California town this Sunday (Oct. 28), and features the League of Vampiric Bards, a group of vampire poets who will be reciting spooky stanzas, like “Blood Rain” and “Down at the Coroners.”

Despite the name, the Bards are not vampires “in the literal sense,” according to founding member Michael Bloom, who drives a hearse, owns a coffin, but just says no when it comes to guzzling blood.

He says, “I don’t drink blood because I would never hurt an animal, and humans are an unclean species. The taste isn’t a problem. I just don’t trust human blood.”

And while his poems are scary and serious, he’s not kidding around in his personal life either.

He says, “I don’t have kids. Maybe if I met the right woman I’d get married, but under no circumstance would I consider having children, at least not of the human variety.”
