Steal A Base, Score A Taco At This Year’s World Series

BOSTON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Hungry baseball fans everywhere will be rooting for a stolen base as the 2007 World Series gets underway.

Starting today (Oct. 24) at game one of the World Series, Taco Bell is giving away one free crunchy beef taco to all Americans if any player from either the Colorado Rockies or Boston Red Sox steals a base during any game of the Major League Baseball World Series.

According to Taco Bell spokesperson Rob Poetsch, the meaty “Steal A Base, Steal A Taco” giveaway is a great way for “everyone to win” during the World Series and he believes fans will get their grub on in no time.

Says Poetsch: “There has been a stolen base in every World Series since 1990, so history is on the fans’ side. No matter which team you’re rooting for, you’ll get a free taco. Everyone will come out a winner!”

And hungry fans aren’t the only ones who’ll profit from the stolen base.

In fact, Poetsch says the MLB player who steals the base will score a donation check from Taco Bell to the Boys and Girls Club of America, and will hold the unofficial title of “the guy who fed America” on his stats record.
