Internet Keeps Actor Incognito

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Not all actors love soaking up the celebrity spotlight.

Gregory Smith is the star of Nearing Grace, but the Hollywood actor says he’d much rather head for the hills than rock the red carpet.

Smith, best known for his role on the TV drama Everwood, splits his time between Tinseltown and Park City, Utah, and the dual domestic decision – and some honest buddy banter – keeps him from falling into the Hollywood hoopla.

Smith says, “My friends back home bust my balls and say, ‘Oh, you have it so tough, you have to go to Romania to shoot a movie.’ But most of my friends in Hollywood are in the business – I have to get away just to stay sane.”

And if Smith can’t seek shelter in the mountains, there’s always the anonymity of the Internet.

He says, “ is the best hiding place. Because my name is Greg Smith, like the most common name in the world, I can’t even find myself!”

The DVD of Nearing Grace hits shelves tomorrow (Oct. 23).
