‘Beauty and the Geek’ Reject Rejects The Word ‘Geek’

WARREN, Ohio (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If there’s anything Beauty and the Geek reject Amanda Hanshaw learned from her short stint on the show, it’s that she hates the word “geek.”

Hanshaw – who was the first beauty booted from the competition this past Tuesday (Sept. 25) – says she hates using the word “geek” to describe the socially awkward guys on the show because in her words, “people are people, no matter how you look at it.”

Although her time on Beauty and The Geek was short, the aspiring Playboy model says she became very close friends with her fellow contestants, including her painfully shy partner, Tony.

She says, “Tony was 100 percent the shyest guy in the house, but he was adorable. He was cool around me because he knew how much I wanted him to be my partner in the first place.”

And while Hanshaw and her geek got friendly, they never got too close for comfort.

Hanshaw adds, “We never slept in the same bed because I’m really weird about that. But it had nothing to do with him, I just don’t like sleeping with anyone!”

Beauty and the Geek airs Tuesdays on The CW.
