Rapper Represents Down-Home, Not Down-Under

JACKSON, Miss. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One hip-hop hopeful is using rhyme to reason with his small southern town.

Rainman, whose album, Bigga Than Life, drops September 11, says it’s the slow style of life in Jackson, Mississippi, that feeds his flow.

Rainman says, “To be real, the advantage of living here is that there ain’t s going on. It makes you grind a little bit and work harder than people in New York and Cali. I’m hungrier than the average rapper.”

Rainman’s raw rhymes traffic in Southern-fried hip-hop fare, and he’s confident his down-home style will hold up, even against some competition from down-under.

A rapper in Australia is calling himself Rainman too, but it’s not getting in the way of this rapper’s Southern swagger.

He says, “I’m holding it down in Jacktown. I don’t know what this other guy’s all about or what he stands for, but I know I’m official like a referee’s whistle.”
