Buffalo Wing Festival Clucks For Charity

BUFFALO, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you’re looking to chow on some chicken wings this Labor Day weekend, roam on over to the city that started it all.

The 6th Annual National Buffalo Wing Festival is heating up Buffalo, New York, this Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 1-2), and folks will be celebrating by chowing on chicken wings, comparing spicy sauces, and, of course, participating in eating contests to see who the true head of the buffalo herd is.

But there’s more to the festival than meets the messy mouth.

In addition to the chowing, there’s also a Running Of The Chickens road race, live music to get the audience clucking, and a Miss Buffalo Wing Contest.

It’s not all grease and gluttony, though – last year’s fiery festival raised $10,000 for local charities, proof that the only thing you’ll have to feel bad about is your stomach ache.
