UK Fans Love Elvis More Tenderly Than US Fans

LONDON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Elvis fans in the UK say they’ve got more hunka-hunka burnin’ love for Elvis Presley than American fans.

British Elvis fans are all shook for the 30th anniversary of The King’s death, and according to Trevor Yeardye – who runs with his superfan wife – UK fans love The King more tenderly than any Yank ever could.

However, Yeardye says Brit fans are sad because Elvis The Pelvis never graced a UK stage during his career – leaving British fans “scrounging and hoarding anything Elvis” and creating what he calls “a die-hard fanbase of true collectors, not old ladies with silly Elvis plates on their walls.”

And Yeardye is proving his love for Presley by holding the Elvis: Party in the Park in Darby, England next Wednesday (Aug. 8), where European rock-a-billies can have a little less conversation, and a little more Elvis fun, and say “thank you very much” to his work.

He says: “We have to make up for never having him in the UK. We’re active, deeper fans because of it.”
