Urban Author Feels The Heat From 50 Cent

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – When you’re from the same neighborhood as rapper 50 Cent and you’re writing a book about life on the streets, you gotta represent.

That was the task at hand for urban drama author, Mark Anthony, as he wrote his latest book, Harlem Heat (G-Unit) for 50 Cent’s line of novels.

Anthony’s book is about life on the streets and the hustle that follows, but since he’s from the same neighborhood in Jamaica Queens, New York, that Fiddy grew up in, Anthony felt the heat to portray the street life as accurately as possible.

Says Anthony, “Out of all the G-Unit authors, I’m the only one that’s from the same hood as 50 Cent and I didn’t want him to think that my interpretation was off. Luckily, he was cool with it.”

But before the story got the green light from the music mogul, Anthony had to pass some other quality control tests.

He explains, “I had to submit two of my previous books and a really structured outline of my new one before 50 Cent approved the project. He just wanted to make sure my style was right.”

Harlem Heat is now available in stores.
