‘Dance’ Cast-Off Boogies At Bar Mitzvahs

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Dancer Jessi Peralta may have gotten voted off So You Think You Can Dance, but she’ll still bust a move just about anytime, any place.

Peralta – who was eliminated from the competition this past Thursday (June 28) after being unable to perform the night before (June 27) due to dehydration and chest pains – still has boogie fever, and recalls the times she used to dance for weddings and Bar Mitzvahs to make some extra cash doing what she loves.

Peralta explains, “I’ve always loved getting the party started with dancing, so I used to get odd jobs dancing at Bar Mitzvahs and weddings. I had a mean “Electric Slide” and “YMCA” that usually got people dancing. It was fun!”

And while Peralta hopes more doors swing open for her in the professional dancing world these days, she’ll never forget her days as a party dance machine.

She adds, “Hopefully I won’t have to do too many more Bar Mitzvahs now, but there’s no shame in what I did. You have to make it somehow and I’m a hustling girl!”

So You Think You Can Dance airs Wednesdays and Thursdays.
