Stunt Award Show Blows Up Wonder Woman’s Double

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The Academy Awards praise actors, but not the brave stunt men and women who do all the hard work – like blow themselves up on camera.

That’s why this stout-hearted band of building jumpers have the World Stunt Awards to annually honor the best death defyers in showbiz.

This year’s awards will take place Friday (May 25) and be hosted by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

But the real celebs will be folks like 66-year-old Jeannie Epper, who, in a 50-year-career is best known as Linda Carter’s double on Wonder Woman.

She is the first woman to receive the lifetime achievement award, and admits, “I’ve been set on fire so many times, hit by a car so many times, and jumped through so many skylights.”

But she’s not slowing down despite hitting retirement age.

She’s currently seen getting knocked over by Will Ferrell in Blades of Glory, and will soon be seen dodging explosions and flipping cars in the big screen version of Transformers.

There’s a reason why she remains active. As she puts it, “I’d just be bored to death to stay at home.”

The 2007 Taurus Stunt Awards airs May 25 on AMC.
