Erasure Erases New Video In Order To Kiss Up To Fans

LONDON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The techno-pop band Erasure will go to great lengths to make a quality product – including erasing things that aren’t up to snuff.

The band releases its latest album, Light At The End Of The World, on Tuesday (May 22) and the first single is “I Could Fall In Love With You.”

But Erasure members Andy Bell and Vince Clarke didn’t exactly fall in love with the first video they attempted.

Says Bell: “We made a video in a Japanese supermarket looking at the various products but it was boring.”

So the band erased it and went back to the drawing board and created a video that features folks of all creeds, colors, orientations, and ages kissing for the camera.

Bell is pleased with the new video and figures it’s closer to the mood of the album, which he likens to “singing to your sweetheart on a balcony.”

Erasure will be joining Debbie Harry and Cyndi Lauper on the Human Rights Campaign, a 15-city tour that begins June 8 in Las Vegas.
