‘American Idol’ Shocker: Ryan And Simon’s Feud Is Fake

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell seem like they’re feuding on every episode of American Idol – but that’s what they want you to think.

According to Star magazine, the snippy comments they say to each other – such as Cowell’s suggestion that Seacrest “come out of the closet” – are actually scripted in advance.

One Idol insider admits that most of the rifts between the two have been outlined and the true story is that Cowell and Seacrest are actually good friends, and simply are bitching at each other for the cameras.

Meanwhile, there is evidence that Cowell is actually much nicer than he appears on the hit show.

The source says that AI producer Nigel Lythgoe watches all rehearsals and then gives Cowell notes on which contestants should receive his barbs, adding “that’s what’s on the sheets of paper on the judging desk.”
