Alan Arkin Believes No Small Parts Only Small Actors

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – When it comes to movie roles, Alan Arkin believes there are no small parts, only small actors.

Arkin is up for the Best Supporting Oscar for Little Miss Sunshine, but believes no one in the film should be singled out for their acting abilities.

Says Arkin: “Every great movie is an ensemble movie – all the good movies from 1930 till now are ensemble movies.”

He believes studios today tend to pour money into “star vehicles” where the “focus is on one or two characters and the rest get thrown away.”

He adds: “Thank God [Little Miss Sunshine] isn’t like that at all.”
