Julie Andrews Can’t Get ‘Edelweiss’ Out Of Her Head

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Julie Andrews has starred in countless musicals over the years but she admits “Edelweiss” from The Sound Of Music is the one song that gets stuck in her head the most.

The actress received the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement award this past Sunday (Jan. 28) and admits she can’t get “Edelweiss” out of her noggin.

Says Andrews: “It’s a song that I don’t actually sing [in the movie]...and I always get it stuck in my head. It’s a very well-constructed song because it’s about everyone’s homeland.”

Although “Edelweiss” has stayed with Andrews over the years, there are countless other songs that she loves as well, and that she really can’t just pick one as her absolute favorite.

Andrews’ voice will soon be heard again when she plays Queen Lillian in Shrek the Third, which comes out in May.
