Military Fans Find Industrious Uses For Skinny Puppy

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The music of the pioneering industrial band Skinny Puppy rarely gets played on radio, but it’s a big hit with military personnel.

That’s one of the things that shocks band co-founder cEVIN Key (sic) most after a 25-year career.

He’s surprised that the group is so popular with members of the military and considers it a point of pride that Skinny Puppy’s loud, agressive music has been used as a weapon of sorts to irritate dictators or other enemies in the heat of battle.

Although Key is happy to have fans that are soldiers, he’s extra happy that the music appeals to the ladies as well.

As Key puts it, “I’m amazed that 50 percent of our audience is female – which is unusual for this type of music – and some strippers have used our songs on stage as well.

Skinny Puppy’s latest album, Mythmaker, hits stores on January 30.
