‘Survivor’ Roller Girl Rolling With Life’s Changes

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Now that Jessica “Flicka” Smith has been kicked off Survivor, she is hoping to turn to her first love: Roller derby.

Before she was cast as a castaway, Smith was a professional roller derby player in her hometown of Chico, California.

She says it’s “an awesome full-contact sport for women” and hopes to continue doing it now that her Survivor commitment is over.

However, she’s currently without a team and hasn’t a clue if there will be any other offers.

She admits people are surprised to find out she was voted “most intimidating” by the other players in her league, especially considering how happy-go-lucky she was on Survivor.

But there’s a good reason for that: “Roller derby is physical. There’s no lying and back stabbing in it.”

Although Smith is happy with her experience on the show, she does have one regret: That the soccer socks she wore on the show “didn’t match” the rest of her outfit.

As she puts it: “I didn’t do that on purpose. I just sent a bunch of clothes to CBS and they picked them out.”
