Magicians Send Flowers, Acrobats To Injured Colleague

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Most people get flowers in the hospital, but a magician in San Luis Obispo, California, got a whole troupe of acrobats sent to wish him well.

Magician Jonathan Pendragon was in the hospital for more than a week after a “psychic Houdini archery trick” went wrong, sending an arrow straight through his heart.

Pendragon’s wife and stage partner Charlotte confirms that fellow magicians David Copperfield, Lance Burton, and Siegfried & Roy have sent get well wishes – and Penn & Teller even sent a whole troupe of acrobats to “make him happy.”

She says Jonathan is so inspired he’s begun to practice his illusions already – even the trick that almost ended his life, which he says he’s ready to try again, in a few months.

The Pendragons are slated to return October 19 at the Sycuan Resort and Casino in El Cajon, California.
