Thats the word from Bill Cook, an organizer of the 28th annual Turkey Testicle Festival which takes place October 13 and 14 in Byron, Illinois.
Cook says the buzzard balls, which are deep fried in a special batter, are surprisingly tender and not chewy at all which shocks many people tasting it for the first time.
He also says the only appropriate side dish to turkey testes is beer which explains why the event is only for those over 21 years of age.
All of the proceeds from the event will go to various charities and Cook estimates more than 3,500 people will come out to suck gobbler genitalia for a good cause.
Thats a lot of mouths to feed and Cook says they plan to fry up about 400 pounds worth of turkey testes and, although Cook admits hes never done the math, says its a whole lot of balls.
