Singer Jesse McCartney Goes Back To His Old Stomping Grounds On ‘All My Children’

DALLAS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Jesse McCartney is having quite the homecoming – with his fictional family that is.

That’s because the dreamboat teen singer has rejoined his old castmates on All My Children for two episodes – one last Friday (Sept. 8) and another tomorrow (Sep.12).

But McCartney isn’t back to play his old character, J.R. Chandler – he’s back as himself, performing the title track to his new album, Right Where You Want Me, which drops September 19.

McCartney says it was fun to go back to the soap set where he got his big break as an actor back in 1998, but admits it was strange to see his “old dad, Adam Chandler, and the new J.R.”

The weirdest part for McCartney was that in his scenes he is singing to his old character’s half-sister, who now has a crush on Jesse in the show.

In his words, “It’s like my sister has a crush on me because I used to be J.R. It’s kind of creepy.”
