When It Comes To Proms, Teens Don’t Have The Vegas Idea

LAS VEGAS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – When it comes to proms, teens don’t have the Las Vegas idea.

But promoters in Vegas do: They’re putting on an adult- themed prom at the Palms Hotel and Casino on September 5 that should prove that the “prom” is the first syllable in “promiscuous.”

That’s because the 2nd Annual Vegas Prom is meant to honor employees at various Vegas clubs, casinos and strip bars with all the festivities associated with high school proms – and a few that aren’t.

Organizer Bo Karlen says guests are expected to wear fancy dresses and tuxes and vote on an official prom king and queen.

But not everything follows tradition.

He promises the punch will be spiked and says “chaperones” come in the form of security guards.

Karlen says about 1,000 people attended last year’s prom, and he expects at least 2,000 this time around, including some top notch celebrities and Vegas bigwigs, to boogie on down long past curfew.
