Patti Smyth Happy To Be Surrounded By Scandal

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Singer Patti Smyth is one performer who is happy to be surrounded by Scandal.

Her former rock band, that is.

Smyth and Scandal split in the mid-’80s before reuniting in August, 2004, as part of the VH-1 series, Bands Reunited.

Now, she’s touring with Scandal as part of the We Are The ’80s tour and has a new greatest hits disc, We Are The ’80s: Scandal.

She’s thrilled to be back with Scandal-mates because, as she puts it, “Being in a band is way more fun. Plus, not everything is on YOU like when you’re a solo artist.”

Since she is performing old hits like “Goodbye To You” and “The Warrior” with her old band, she has considered wearing some of her old stage clothes which still fit.

Sort of.

She admits: “I didn’t start working out until after Scandal broke up so I can still wear the outfits – but I don’t need the shoulder pads.”
