Exchange Between Bush and Blair Proves Brits Suspicions

LONDON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Many Brits believe Prime Minister Tony Blair is a lapdog to President George W. Bush – and the exchange caught on tape at the G8 summit only proves it.

Jamie Whyte, a former professor of philosophy at Cambridge University, thinks that incidents like the one in which Bush uses the s-word to a nodding PM only add fuel to the criticism of Blair as a Washington pushover.

In Whyte’s words, “Many people on the left who helped elect Blair have come to see him not as our [Bill] Clinton, but a clone of George W. Bush.”

Some Brits aren’t thrilled at Blair and Bush’s cozy relationshipm, but Whyte says there are some benefits – at least where humor is concerned.

Says Whyte: “Political satire was at a real low right after Blair was elected, but [these developments] have caused a resurgence in making fun of the prime minister.”
