‘How To Get The Guy’ Gets Goat Of Real-Life Love Coach

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The ABC reality show How To Get The Guy is getting the goat of a real-life love coach in New York.

Robin Gorman Newman, who is a professional love coach and relationship book author, says the show’s purported tips on finding romance are “obvious and dated.”

In her words, “They tell the girls to make eye contact and get into their personal space. These are attractive women. I can’t imagine them being dateless, so why give them advice from Dating 101?”

Newman says How To Get The Guy hosts Theresa Strasser and JD Roberto have no real credentials as “love coaches,” except “the woman’s supposedly ‘found love’ and the guy looks like a player. In fact, he looks like he’s reading his ‘advice’ off a cue card.”

But the thing that about How To Get The Guy that irritates Newman the most is that the hosts’ dating advice isn’t specific to each of the four women’s needs.

As she puts it, “They’re big advocates of ‘rapid dating’ without giving thought to what each woman wants. Plus, dating isn’t a ‘numbers game.’ A lot of first dates suck.”

How To Get The Guy airs Monday nights.
