Tunstall credits the steady rise of Black Horse in part to American Idol runner up Katherine McPhee, who performed the song twice this season.
In her words, Its had a profound effect on people. When a song is performed on [Idol], the perception is that its famous.
As a result, Tunstall who was attracting 200 people to her shows early in her debut U.S. tour is now seeing ten times that amount at concerts.
Still, she doesnt know how much effect the song will have on her career because, she admits, right now, [any success] is all just on paper.
