Avis Commercial Driving Hip Hop Record

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A new TV commercial for Avis Car Rental is also driving up interest in a new rap song, “2G’s.”

The tune was recorded a few months ago by L.A.-based hip-hop producer Lumbajac, who says the tune was an answer to “all the rap singers who sing about how they got their millions. This one says, ‘I’m still hungry.”’

Ironically, the commercial for the song features three white guys in business suits bouncing along to the song.

Lumbajac says that’s important because it’s “the first time a rapper gets a commercial without being commercial.”

The tune will be released next month on From Almost Nothing, a new CD by Hoodlum West and it’s not only getting lots of advance buzz, it’s also earned Lumbajac a new friend.

As he puts it, “Scott Charles, who sits in the backseat during the commercial, got in contact with me and he’s going to appear in the video for the song.”
