Motor Mouths Top Driver Irritation List

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Gas prices aren’t the only thing irritating car owners these days – add “motor mouths” to the list.

A new poll by Hagerty Car Insurance reveals that “motor mouths” – folks who chat on their cell phones while driving – are the No. 1 pet peeve for car owners, getting 28 percent of the vote.

Meanwhile, 21 percent of drivers are driven crazy by “turtle racers,” the idiots who go slow when they’re in the fast lane.

  • 18 percent hate “piggy backers,” those pushy drivers who tailgate.

  • 12 percent are annoyed by “wacky weavers” who weave in and out of traffic just to get one car ahead.

  • 5 percent are disgusted by “gap snatchers,” those obnoxious drivers that speed and don’t let you over even when you signal.

Finally, less than 1 percent of drivers are bothered when the person in the next car is picking their nose.
