Plagues Bags Make Passover Fun for Children

RIVERDALE, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Passover begins tomorrow (Apr. 12) and a Jewish man has an idea he hopes plagues kids during boring Seder ceremonies.

Simon Jaffe is the inventor of the Plagues Bag, a contagious party bag of toys, each representing the ten haggadah plagues mentioned in the Bible.

There’s styrofoam hail, finger puppets for various wild beasts and special sunglasses to represent the plague of darkness.

Jaffe – who serves as executive director of the Riverdale Jewish Community Center – says he created the passover product because “kids have a twenty second attention span.”

So far, children are most fond of the jumping frog plague but Jaffe personally prefers the cattle disease plague, a toy cow that falls down dead when pushed.

But while everyone has their pet plague, Jaffe says the beanbag version of lice offers the most family togetherness since you can toss it while sitting around the Seder table.
