Violence Comes To TV On Cooking Show

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you think there’s too much violence on TV, you might want to avoid watching Celebrity Chef Cooking Showdown.

The NBC show features celebrities like Tom Arnold, Cindy Margolis and Ashley Parker Angel competing against each other in a culinary battle a la Iron Chef.

However, celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck figures his show is a little more action-packed. As he puts it, “There’s lots of fire, blood and everything. I even cut my thumb.”

Although some celebrities like Patti LaBelle have written cookbooks and others like Arnold have never cooked a meal, Puck says the competition is pretty equal since all the contestants went through a boot camp before the show.

Some did better than others. Puck was especially impressed with Angel who he says can use a knife at the same speed as a pro.

Celebrity Chef Cooking Showdown debuts April 17 for a five-night run.
