Feelgood Doctor Pushes Vitamin B for Beer Drinkers

ASTORIA, Ore. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you love beer as much as Homer Simpson but want a slightly healthier lifestyle, just remember the letter B ain’t just for brew.

Vitamin B is probably the best preventive chaser for those who down large quantities of beer, whether its chugging down a beer bong or bellying up to the bar.

So says Tracy Erfling, a naturopathic doctor in Astoria, Oregon, who will be lecturing on “The Healthy Brewer” at the Craft Brewers Conference, which starts April 11 in Seattle, Washington.

You can forget a lot of things after drinking beer but she says if you remember one thing while boozing it up, it’s taking vitamin B before, during and afterwards.

She says it’s not only ``one of the best preventive measures” big beer-swillers can take to protect their suds- soaked livers but it also prevents hangovers.

However, she also suggests laying off the fried foods that are the staple of many bar menus and feast on vegetarian dishes instead.
