Christian Talk Show Host Crossing Leno And Letterman’s Path

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A Christian talk show host is getting ready to cross paths with Jay Leno and David Letterman – and he thinks he’ll win the ratings war.

Bill Keller is the host of Live Prayer With Bill Keller, a late night call-in show that currently airs late nights on various TV stations in Florida.

Keller takes calls from viewers and offers prayers and support – and he’s getting plenty of support himself: The show attracts 250,000 viewers a night in Florida alone.

Those numbers should grow come July when Keller goes national on Pax TV, but he insists it won’t just be holy rollers who are watching.

As Keller puts it, “I don’t preach to the choir; 90 percent of my audience doesn’t go to church or read the Bible.”

Instead, Keller says the callers are college students, strippers and anyone else with a late-night schedule who needs help with family issues, health problems or suicidal thoughts.

Keller jokes that late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel also could benefit from divine intervention because “we kick his butt every night in the ratings.”
