Karma Is Killer For Daphne Zuniga

TORONTO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The ABC Family Channel series Beautiful People is billed as fiction, but it’s almost a documentary for series star Daphne Zuniga.

The show revolves around a single mother with two teenage daughters, and Zuniga says the plot reminds her of when she was growing up because she and her sister were raised by a single mother.

She admits, “We didn’t have much male energy around.”

As a result, she calls the show “a big piece of karma” and admits when she talks with her mother about upcoming episodes, mom answers back: “Sounds like you know what it was like.”

Beautiful People airs Monday nights, and Zuniga is hoping for a long run with the show.

But it’s not the only thing on the former Melrose Place star’s plate. She’s currently working on a documentary about the TED convention, an event where members of the technology, entertainment and design industries meet to discuss ideas.

She hopes to have it airing on TV sometime this fall.
