Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Is Driven To Be A Disc Jockey

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Looks like Dale Earnhardt, Jr., is driven to be a disc jockey.

The NASCAR racer has just signed on to host a weekly show on XM Satellite Radio and while he will talk about all the happenings in the racing world, he also hopes to steer fans toward his favorite music.

Earnhardt says music is a big part of his everyday life and wants to use the show to raise awareness of bands that his fans may not know.

For instance, he plans to feature lots of cuts by Matthew Goode, a Vancouver-based singer whose music Earnhardt has long championed.

In addition, Earnhardt hopes to give an earful about what kind of music gets him pumped up for a race and says the thrash metal band Korn is at the top of his list.

Earnhardt’s show debuts. Feb. 13.
