Worst-Dressed Honor Could Be Blackwell Blessing For Britney Spears

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Britney Spears might not be happy about after being declared “The Worst-Dressed Woman of the Year,” but the upside to the dubious honor could be an Oscar statuette.

Spears has been dubbed the worst-dressed woman in America by acid-tongued fashion critic Mr. Blackwell, but if history repeats itself, the pop tart could be on the course to winning an Oscar in a few years.

That’s because several women who’ve made No. 1 on Blackwell’s blacklist have gone on to win Oscars exactly three years later – including fellow singers Cher and Barbra Streisand.

No word on what Spears’ next acting project will be, but some insiders are admittedly hesitant to take the so-called “Blackwell blessing” too seriously, since she won the “Worst-Dressed” prize in 2000 and obviously has no Oscar to show for it.

Meanwhile, Blackwell won’t speculate on the uncanny connection between bad fashion sense and Oscar gold but says, “Not all publicity can be called a blessing but it certainly doesn’t hurt.”
