Tour Gives John Lennon Fans A Chance To See His London

LONDON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Thursday (Dec. 8) marks the 25th anniversary of John Lennon’s death, but a London tour company is giving Beatlemaniacs a chance to see how he lived.

Back Roads Tours regularly offers rock-oriented romps through swinging London, but Thursday’s tour will focus on sites significant in Lennon’s life such as where he met his wife, Yoko Ono.

For instance, there’s the street that appeared on the cover for the Beatles’ Abbey Road album and company president Bruce Cherry predicts most of the fans will want to recreate the photo.

Other sites aren’t so famous, such as a public restroom where Lennon portrayed a bathroom attendant for a British comedy series.

There’s also a trip to a rock club called Scotch of St. James, where Lennon reportedly gave the song, “I Wanna Be Your Man” to Mick Jagger.

But fans taking the tour may be more interested in what they can wear than what they see. The group will visit the Hard Rock Cafe and Cherry says people may get to try on one of Lennon’s old t-shirts.
