New York-based Nathan Sawaya, whose medium is Legos, has assembled a 71-inch by 54-inch sculpture that hangs as if its floating in air and looks like the sketch Lennon once drew of himself.
Sawaya created the brick art to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the former Beatles death, which will be Dec. 8.
It took him about 50 hours and around 800 little blocks to complete it, but Sawaya says the biggest challenge was finding a way to hang it with a fine string so it appears to be floating in mid-air.
For now, the artwork is hanging in Sawayas studio, but he says hes accepting bids to buy the piece starting at $10,000.
