‘Arrested Development’ Goes Head To Head With ‘Monday Night Football’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Arrested Development now has to compete with Monday Night Football for ratings, but actor Tony Hale – who portrays ultimate mama’s boy Buster Bluth on the show – is not about to curl up in the fetal position and suck his, hook.

Hale – whose character sports a hook after having his hand bitten off by a seal – says there’s plenty of action on Arrested Development, calling the show “slapstick, crazy, and extreme with some smart in there.”

He admits the competition is nothing new, saying, “We’re always up against some big show,” and hopes his humorous portrayal of a one-handed “7-year-old trapped in a 32-year-old body” will keep viewers hooked.

And if all else fails, Hale has got an idea for a new title for the show to expand the audience.

Arrested Development airs back-to-back episodes tonight (Nov. 7) on FOX.
