Yes Singer To Start Storytelling Solo Tour

SAN LUIS OBISBO, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Yes lead singer Jon Anderson is exploring his past music in a roundabout way – as a storyteller.

Starting tomorrow (Nov. 2) in Annapolis, Maryland, Anderson will be doing a solo tour where he will perform songs from Yes as well as his solo projects and work with keyboardist Vangelis.

He figures his “Tour Of The Universe” is a fun way to combine his compositions with his lifelong quest to “be close to the edge of realization.”

Anderson figures he’ll discuss his work with Yes but also plans to touch on his musical collaboration with actor Sherman Hemsley, who is best known as George Jefferson from The Jeffersons.

The two met at a music industry convention and Anderson admits he was shocked to learn Hemsley was a fan.

Hemsley and Anderson have even worked on a musical entitled Festival Of Dreams, which is about the spiritual qualities of the number seven, although Anderson admits it’s far from finished because, as he puts it, “Sherman is like Harry Houdini. One minute he’s there, the next he’s not.”
