Amateurs To Get Behind Wheel For Spot On NASCAR Team

BOCA RATON, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Aspiring race car drivers can now get their engines revving thanks to a new reality show that offers the winner an actual racing contract with a NASCAR racing team.

Reality Racing: The Rookie Challenge, which is scheduled to air on an undisclosed network early next year, will pit 15 amateur stock car racers who will battle it out weekly for the top prize.

Besides on-track performance, judges will give points to the contestants based on on-camera appearance and personality and overall “racing desire.”

Tryouts for the 15 racing spots will begin shortly at stock car tracks around the U.S. and show producer Patrick Schaefer figures there will be a lot of speed seekers.

As he puts it, “There are literally hundreds of thousands of people who dream of getting behind the wheel and driving to glory, fame and riches.”
