Sara Gilbert: ‘Show Biz Kids Don’t Have It Harder Than Anyone Else’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Former Roseanne cast member Sara Gilbert says she’s grateful to have an acting career “to fall back on” because she shudders to think about how she’d handle a desk job.

The Roseanne alum plays a whip-smart executive in the WB’s new comedy, Twins, but she admits, “I can’t even imagine how horribly I’d fail if I had to run an office. To have all those employees, to make sense of all those spreadsheets.”

Gilbert does understand one business, show business, thanks to her years on Roseanne.

It was an unusual experience, growing up in public but Gilbert is philosophical about it, saying “Growing up is probably awkward for everyone, famous or not.”

Twins, which also stars Melanie Griffith and Mark Linn-Baker, debuts Friday (Sep. 16).
