Luis Medina admits his invention is pricey, but he thinks the hybrid gas-electric remote-controlled mowers make sense and are a lot of fun, adding, Its a toy for big kids.
What started as a personal backyard project has turned into a complete line of hybrid mowers for sale, starting at $1999 for the Economy Class, or E-Class mower.
Medina even sells an S-Class remote-controlled lawnmower that starts with the push of a button and turns on a dime, much like a high performance sports car.
Contrary to the assumption that his clientele are a bunch of lazy old fat guys, Medina says, Sixty percent of our market is handicapped people. They write me letters and say they are very thankful.
