Remote Control Lawn Mowers Make ‘Cents’ For One Inventor

TAMPA BAY, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Would you pay $2000 to never have to push a lawn mower again? If you’ve got enough greenbacks, you can easily cut green grass with a remote- controlled lawnmower, thanks to one Florida inventor.

Luis Medina admits his invention is pricey, but he thinks the hybrid gas-electric remote-controlled mowers “make sense” and are a lot of fun, adding, “It’s a toy for big kids.”

What started as a personal backyard project has turned into a complete line of hybrid mowers for sale, starting at $1999 for the Economy Class, or E-Class mower.

Medina even sells an S-Class remote-controlled lawnmower that starts with the push of a button and turns on a dime, much like a high performance sports car.

Contrary to the assumption that his clientele are a bunch of lazy old fat guys, Medina says, “Sixty percent of our market is handicapped people. They write me letters and say they are very thankful.”
