Foodies Getting Soused From Sushi Drinking Game

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The producers of a sushi-making video have a fishy approach to an old drinking game.

The instructional video, Sushi 101: Just Like That, is becoming a party pastime thanks to the video’s sushi chef who repeats the phrase “just like that” 83 times in 58 minutes on the video.

It’s inspiring some sake-loving sushi fans to get soused by taking a shot every time they hear the phrase.

Co-producer Denise Dorman says the taping “seemed natural” at the time and didn’t realize there was a problem until editing time.

Still, Dorman passed out screener copies to friends, and quickly learned the video was a smash hit with folks who like to get smashed.

Producers decided to roll with the punches by creating a special version a la VH1’s Pop-Up Video where an icon of a martini glass pops up every time the chef says, “Just like that.”

The video comes with a warning not to overdo it, because if you took a drink every time you hear the phrase, “just like that,” as Dorman puts it, “You’d die of alcohol poisoning – just like that.”
