Aluminum Knuckle Handbags Scaring Competition

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One San Diego man is trying punch his way into the women’s handbag industry.

James Piatt has designed a white and black vinyl handbag with solid aluminum knuckles serving as the handle and is selling the bags on his website,

Piatt, a conceptual artist, figures gals would like a unique, stylish bag that is also “a new form of personal defense.” He says he’s already sold several of the intimidating $75 bags since they became available in March.

Still, while the bags are more of “an art piece” than anything else, Piatt realizes the bags can be used as a weapon as much as they can make a fashion statement.

That’s why he has a disclaimer on his site that suggests interested buyers contact their local District Attorney’s Office to see if they can carry the bag in their state. The disclaimer also says Piatt won’t be responsible for any “misuse” of the bag.
