Former Fashion Model Wants To Be America’s Next Top Inventor

CHARLESTON, W. Va. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A man in Charleston, West Virginia, has lived what might be called a “model life” but has given it up in order to be an inventor.

For years, Aaron Simmons lived in Miami Beach and made a living posing for ads and commercials for Cosmopolitan magazine, Wendy’s and the Weather Channel.

But where some people aspire to become “America’s Next Top Model,” Simmons recently gave up the life of the beautiful people in order to follow his dream of being an inventor.

He admits a lot of his modeling contacts tried to talk him out of his career change but figured he owed it to himself to make a mark based on what is inside him, rather than outside.

The model-turned-inventor’s first invention, the “treepot,” is a planter that holds eight inches of potting soil and makes it look like the tree is growing inside.

Simmons hopes his risk-taking inspires other models to look inside themselves for fulfillment rather than just depending on their looks.
