Make Novels The Bruce Campbell Way

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – B-movie legend Bruce Campbell may be on his way to becoming an A-list author.

The star of films like The Evil Dead has just published his second book, a novel called Make Love The Bruce Campbell Way (Thomas Dunne) that was originally created in a novel manner.

As he puts it, “It started out as a non-fiction spoof of relationship books but I changed it into a novel because I didn’t want to get too deep.”

So, Campbell turned the book into a fictional account of getting cast as a courtly doorman in a romantic comedy directed by Mike Nichols starring Richard Gere and Renee Zellweger.

Campbell admits he picked famous people he “will probably never work with” but while the book is a satire, he emphasizes he’s “the biggest idiot in the whole novel.”

Now, he hopes Hollywood types will make the book into a movie but is realistic about his chances of actually starring in it as himself.

In his words, “They’ll probably get Ashton Kutcher instead.”
