Anthrax Gives A Shot To Anti-Vaccination Campaign

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Anthrax is hoping to do for the anti-anthrax vaccination campaign what Jerry Lewis has done for muscular dystrophy.

The heavy metal band is currently promoting organizations and individuals who don’t want military personnel to be used as guinea pigs for the anthrax vaccine.

Vocalist Joey Belladonna says the group is getting vocal about the vaccine because soldiers aren’t being given a choice whether or not to take it, or being told about potential side effects.

As he puts it, “A person should have the right to decide to take it or be aware of the problems.”

The group is promoting the campaign at but Belladonna says the group is willing to go further by performing anti-vaccination benefits on military bases or even holding a heavy metal telethon to promote the cause.

Belladonna isn’t against the military but says forcing people to take the anthrax vaccine is causing the troops “to lose a lot of good people.”
