Alex Rodriguez Becoming The Anti-Teammate

BALTIMORE, Md. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Alex Rodriguez may be a great baseball player, but he’s a horrible teammate.

That’s according to sports journalist Ken Rosenthal, who says the New York Yankee third baseman has managed to enrage his fellow teammates with his personality just as much as he does opposing teams with his bat.

For example, when Rodriguez was with the Texas Rangers he used to infuriate his ex-mates when he would communicate with them “like a Little League coach, shouting basic instructions at his younger teammates.”

Rodriguez’s abrasive personality even extends into his current clubhouse – especially with Ultimate Yankee Derek Jeter.

Though their relationship is “civil,” Rosenthal says there’s definitely a rift between the two superstars and he can see Rodriguez being forced out a la Shaquille O’Neal with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Rosenthal explains more of Rodriguez’s teammate problems in an article in the April 15th issue of The Sporting News.
